Hi everyone. I am very new and am just looking for a little advice. I took this photo in a bat cave in Veradero where the light was coming in through a hole in the ceiling.
I immediately notice that there is too much light where the sun hits the wall on the left. How should I have compensated for that when taking the picture?
The other thing I noticed is that the feel of the picture is a little blah. I was hoping for a little more "magical" for lack of a better word. How could I have adjusted the composition to give that light in the dark feel better?
Prior to SR, I think an exposure compensation of -1.3 ~ to -2
could have get you closer to your goal… you should trust the
onboard histogram, your best friend.
In PP, the burnt area is rather small and pretty easy to repair.
Here is a suggestion:
