Anyone who intentionally not own a telephoto lens?

I feel that this comes down very much on the "what do I shoot and the locations I use" for my picture taking
I can well see PJ 'togs only / mostly using short lenses as the camera-to-subject distances are always pretty short
I can see studio 'togs only using short lenses as that will do the job inside a studio
However, many people who shoot wildlife / long-range landscapes / sport and so on will probably find that their images are too small when using lenses under 100mm, so for them, it's a different solution to their 'problem'
