I'm not sure if there are limits to the number of questions that can be asked here. I just signed up on this site and posted another question. Missed that there was a beginner section.
In my other post, I talk about getting a new camera. I have a D7100 (made by Nikon) that I want to upgrade. Actually now that I type this out, I realize many of you typing out your first cameras will likely be from a long time ago, which makes the purpose of seeing what others is shooting with this post, not workable. LOL
First serious camera was a Pentax MX with film winder. A film winder was slower than a motor drive but it still automatically advanced the film. First digital was a Minolta Dimage A7 in 2002. Current camera is an Olympus EM1-MK II.
My very first camera was one where I saved cereal box tops and mailed in for a camera. It was all plastic and took crappy photos. My dad said no more money would be wasted on film and processing for that camera so my initial photographic journey at 9 years old ended with one roll of black and white.

First camera that I remember was an old B&W only Polaroid. First SLR was a Minolta SRT 101. First Digital P&S was a 2mp RCA and the first DSLR was a Nikon D70s... I now have more cameras (both film and digital) than I need...

LOL, it was far from being "point and shoot." Everything was manual. Focus was by either measured distance or guesstimate. Exposure was by rule-of-thumb (think "sunny 16" rule). Framing was approximate. No, I don't have it. It was a borrowed camera which I eventually returned.
