Hello. Im a total amateur. My phone can do fast photos when I hold the bottom down, I like the effect and use the photos as small video to my music. Now I got a Canon g7xii and I want to do the same effect with the Canon but cant figure out what such effect it called and how to achieve it with my Canon, the canon need like +5 seconds for one photo, any help on words and tips to look for online or in the manual would be very helpful.

Burst mode.

I've done sports, mostly hockey, mostly shooting manually. I got fast with lots of practice.

I'd suggest not shooting too many bursts or you'll have way too many photos to go thru. Shooting action is about the timing, takes practice.

Here's a good article from a good camera store. It's about sports but applies to action too.

Usually the term used by cameras is "sequential" shooting. There are usually two of these modes available. One "High Sequential" and one "Low Sequential". I'm not familiar with your Canon camera but the terminology should be similar.

Thanks guys, I now have some thing to study now my summer holiday is so close. What Im trying to do is create "real-time stopmotion" to use along with my music, so the end result looks like frozen time in motion, as a short 1-2 minutes video. I now realice that the read speed of my SD Cart also is an important factor so I will update that very soon, thanks again. Anyone who has any tips or suggestions or understand what Im trying to express when writing "real-time stopmotion" and can point to other people doing this kine of small videos please drop a link, Ill keep looking here every once in a while.
