Tree, Yorkshire

Taken during a walk along the Pennine Way from Top Withens toward Stanbury, in Yorkshire.

This was taken using a Fuji X-T1 using a 16/1.4 lens.

G'day Andy

This is a delightful image - even with the slope - and your pp has made it quite eye-catching. The mono treatment is beaut - tho I find the vignetting possibly a bit severe - comes down to personal preferences

If it [were mine &] had a bit less slope and vignetting it would take pride of place on the lounge room wall as a good-sized print

Hope this helps

Possibly not a vignette but the use of a C-Pol?

An other point is the halo around the top of the tree.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Given the likely altitude of this shot, I'll go with no. My vote is on too much clarity and PP.

Processed in Silver Efex, using a red (maybe orange) filter and applying contrast plus some structure.

I believe that structure == clarity. Suggest masking it onto the tree primarily, and somewhat on the land? Contrast can also emphasize a halo, so either back off, or change the overall tone of the sky (which, being blue, won't affect other things in the image).

Nice B&W but too much details though.

Nice the tree was captured in an inspiring way but the contrast alone could have been even more better.
