Lots of zones, good job.  DCH and a wedge of DTLA, nicely done.  DCH is just so fascinating and photogenic. I like the long lens compression.

There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.

I have to say that this doesn't work for me at all. I've looked at this a few times, and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at: the stairs, the wall, the office building in the distance. The high contrast point of the intersection between the vertical line on the building and the bright railing keeps drawing my attention, but there's nothing to look at.

Also, the frame seems to be split into three separate areas, which have nothing to do with one another.

To my eye.

The tones and contrast are great, although the black parts are a bit too black for my taste.

I could be wrong.

thanks guys....You are supposed to be looking a the ARTitecture;)  Basically the whole point of Disney hall is the odd lines intersecting with one another. Beautiful building it is.

I guess that is the beauty of photography. Not every photo is for everyone. I see photos daily that seemingly people go gaga for and I think they're at best a mediocre phone snap, at this site and others.

It's in the Eye of the beholder.:)

No, not everyone will respond to every photo in the same way. And while I agree with you about some many dull/uninteresting photos (here on PT and elsewhere), that's kinda irrelevant to your post.... don't you think?

So: I'm unclear on how comments on the elements of the image are not relevant to the art of an image?

The best thing one can do for oneself as a photographer is to put your images out there and solicit responses. All responses. If all one is looking for is compliments, then make that clear. No harm, no foul.

My apologies for commenting.

My eyes are moving around like crazy, enjoying the great
complexity (not confusion!) of lines, tonal greys and textures.

Yep, this is very playful and pleasurable. Stefan! :P

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Nobody goes to the DCH with a camera and only takes one photo ... let's see more.

Excellent rendering!

It reminds a bit of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
