I was sure it would be asked for… but this is about the horse,
isn't it? The face of the trainer would have created a second
pole in the picture.

Really nice NS.  Not seeing her face does indeed cause the viewer to think on what is happening here.  A beautiful human face will always command central attention I think.

Perfect lighting, I like your choice of depth of field, it isolates the horse and the girl perfectly while still giving enough detail of the background.  Lovely.
