I like the tight framing you have used here to concentrate our attention into the face

cc- I wonder if you dropped mid-range contrast by 50% would the overall image darken leaving the facial perimeter highlights showing - and maybe 'glowing' a bit as well?

I like this photo, very nicely done. Plus the details are nice as well. I think also if you went in on just the hair, that would make for a cool abstract photo.

The darkness brings a mystical touch but I would
not force any contrast.
