Would you buy a used Canon Rebel?

I found a pretty good deal on a used Canon Rebel, when I asked how many shots have been fired through it the seller said he didn't know. Would you buy a used camera and now know how many photos it has taken?

That depends. I would find out if the camera still has warranty, I would also ask how well the person took care of the camera. Did they keep it clean regularly? How many times has it been dropped or gotten wet? A lot of possible variables. Is the seller an individual or are you buying from a camera shop? Considering all these possible variables it may be better to just buy new. There are many reputable retailers, even on the net, that sell older modle camera that are still unused.

a canon rebel should be pretty cheap......so it might be worth getting it, if it's for a beginner

I have a Canon Rebel and it's a great camera. Highly recommend, it's a good camera for the money.

Canon 7D, 15-85mm, 18-55mm, 70-200mm, 100mm Macro, Sigma 120-300mm, Speedlite 430EX II

A bad day at the race track is better than a good day in the office

Try clicking through to any or the dealers advertising on the site (look right ---->). A number of them have used departments and are going to be reputable. I have personally dealt with KEH and B&H and had no problems. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to check those out. I have been looking on eBay and Craigslist also

I agree as long as you are buying from someone reputable you should be fine.
