Aussie travelling to Singapore...looking to buy

9 years 1 month ago #189434 by Obadiah
Hi all,

I am off to Singapore in a few months time and am thinking about what I might buy whilst there. I am currently shooting with a 50D and have the 18-200 kit lens, the 50mm 1.8 Canon lens and a 8-16mm Sigma lens. Thinking I might look at the Canon 100mm macro lens (not the L series). Any suggestions on shopping for this or maybe even an upgraded camrea body whilst in Singapore?

I can get the lens here in Oz for about $640 AUD (USD equivalent is about the same at the moment). Could I expect to get it much cheaper in Singapore?

Any advise would be welcome.

Cheers

I don't know if you would be able to get it cheaper, but I say buy it now before you go on your trip. You can play around with the lens, get used to it before you go. Not only that, but you may find some macro stuff to shoot while in Singapore before you buy the lens there and you'll end up kicking yourself because you wish you had the lens on you.
