Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L RF on Canon EOS R??

I just pulled the trigger on the EOS R.  What I'm trying to decide is if I want to keep my existing 70-200mm f/2.8L EF mount with IS (III) and use it with adapter.  Or ditch what I have and invest in the RF mount.  The only downside is that once I pick up the RF, that won't work on my other Canon cameras right?

Where as the EF mount can work with my EOS R?

Correct on the assumptions. Only you can decide what to keep.
If/when I go mirrorless, I will retain my DSLRs and they'll still get used.

Why so serious?

Such a tough decision.  Just need to think this one out. I want to make sure I don't get caught with my pants down.

Thank you!
