What is the hole on the lens hood of the new Canon 70-200mm RF lens?

I'm looking at a photo of the new Canon RF 70-200mm lens and notice the lens hood has a hole in it.  What is that for?

Without seeing it I'm guessing a keeper attachment hole?

Why so serious?

It's so you can keep your lens hood on AND polarizer and be able to spin the filter without having to take the lens hood off.

+1 spin the polarizer around and around

But you might want to wait till firmware update on this lens.  Seems like first reviews show this lens has some focus issues.
