My camera broke :'(

Happened really suddenly too. Was taking photos when suddenly the screen went all weird (kind of like when a graphics card burns out on a PC) and then the camera didn't respond to anything anymore. Couldn't even turn it off. Took the battery out, turned it back on. After a minute same thing happened. Battery out again and switched it on and managed to do a factory reset. No change.

I reckon the motherboard got fried although I don't know how. I did nothing different than before. It's going off to Canon for repairs and I'll probably get it back in a week or so but I'm pretty ticked off since I only got it about seven weeks ago. So far Canon's response has been pretty positive though.

I feel naked without it.

New, that's why it's going straight back to Canon.
