Ever feel Apple slows down the software on current phone when new model is out?

Man, ever since Apple released their new phone, as with every launch, my current phone starts acting up

Would be messed up if that was the case to slow down current phones enough to push people to have to get new ones.

Yes. Apple has admitted to slowing down old phones.  Their reason "better battery performance" for older phones.  I believe the real reason is to get you to purchase a new phone.

Um, have you not been paying attention? They add new features that require more power (allegedly) and they've admitted to trying to mitigate power consumption in older phones.

Absolute rubbish. That's not how it's supposed to work. Talk to the gaming industry, Apple, if you need to understand how the upgrade cycle should work.

In any event, if your OS is up to date, either there's a switch to disable preservation, or they stopped doing it.

Another choice: don't update to the new OS. I waited until just before 12 came out before I updated to 11. Now I'll wait for months again.
