ViewSonic monitors for post processing workstation?

Have you tried one of these ultrawide monitors for your work station that you'll be doing post processing on?

Do you find the colors to be spot on?  Sharpness?

Anything you don't like about it?

I've always liked their monitors.  The colors are sharp, and the last View Sonic monitor I had, last dang, 3-4 years of use. The only issue I've had is their customer service is a bit challenging.

Don't know enough about these monitors.  Had one years ago, but not because of photography.  It was a replacement monitor I picked up.

I have a older monitor and was just told in another thread about my prints that I need something to calibrate my monitors.  This monitor is very old so need something new.  Can a monitor like this have 2 different computers plugged into it?

That depends upon the monitor. Since you don't provide a model number, we can't look up that model and point out whatever inputs are provided on the back.

In general, if a monitor accepts >1 source signals, you may simply switch between them as needed. More recent monitors will let you set up a PIP or side-by-side configuration for multiple inputs.

Short answer: turn the monitor around and look at the back.

Also, armed with the model number, google for the manual, if you don't have the paper copy handy.

Their new 38" wide is killer.  Was going to wait for uncle sam to cut my check for this one.  Might need to wait longer
