Can Apple Mac Mini be used for Photoshop and heavy lifting programs?

I don't have the budget for a Mac Pro.  This Mac Mini seems like a more affordable solution for me.  Any ideas if this computer is good for heavy editing?

I always had Mac Pros until two years ago and the "grater"
is not for photographers.

I bought a mini for my daughter; thesis and other office
work, social media and internet searches. PS? sure and
LR too but no video… waaaay under equipped for that.

My latest machine is a i7 5K 27" iMac, with a 1 TH SSD +
max RAM… brilliant! Heavy lifting but I don't do videos

If you get the Mac Mini with i7 and 64GB RAM, that should be plenty of horse power to sling around videos.  For 4K, all you need is 32GB.  The only downside is the video card isn't as robust as other options.

Possibly, Fess, for my part I just wanted to make sure
that working with 80 to 100MB files was flawless.

Those specs are hardly a cheap option (£2499) especially when you have to factor in the cost of a decent monitor.

You can get a decently spec 21.5 inch 4k imac, i7 processor, 16g of ram, Radeon Pro 560 with 4g of memory and a 1tb fusion drive for £1849... easily enough for photoshop
