Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB vs AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with 8GB of GDDR6 memory

I'm after a new Macbook Pro and considering their video card specs now.  I'm either going to get a 2019 15" or the 2020 16".  The 2020 model has the AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with 8GB of GDDR6 memory available.  I was Googling to see the differences.  The Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB is supposed to be the best what was offered from last year.  But looking at:

Is there THAT much difference between what was offered last year and this year video card?  In this article it seems so huge.  Any tech geeks care to help me please?

Thank you in advance.

You can look at PassMark results to better understand how integrated graphics compares to discrete devices.

My new laptop has an Nvidia card in it, specifically for GPU-based computation.

If that's a "Intel UHD P630", then it doesn't look good, compared to the 5500M:

And more memory is always better.

Get the new one, IMNSHO.

The  AMD with the 8GB is going to crush the other video card.  I have a friend who does  alot of video work and he is able to render 4k files so much quicker with the 16" MBP.  It's pricey, but well worth it as I understand.  Would be great that Apple didn't sell the things with the RAM integrated so people can avoid the Apple RAM tax and upgrade like the iMac Mini and iMac owners can.  Such a joke they charge $1000 for 64GB of RAM.
