Stuck and debating

So I own a sx530 & fz80/82. Both are good for zooming on the moon and stuff, or even taking pictures of old abandoned barns. Out of the 2, fz80 is the one I like most.

However, both are horrible at low light, or even the ability to catch stars. I've had two cameras in mind, well three.. fz1000, fz2500, and a mirrorless a6000. The mirrorless would maybe be better. But what I am not good at yet, it setting a lot of manual mode stuff. I've been practicing a little. But far from professional shots. But mostly my pictures are moon, old barns or buildings (sometimes a long ways away), landscape shots, sunrise and sunsets.

Movies I rarely do and have two cameras that can already do it, and timelapse which I do at times, catching clouds in action. So I guess not sure what to get or go for. I guess if the fz 1" senors could do stars good, or even a timelapse of stars, that would be cool. But figured my best bet is get a mirriorless and learn it. What are some of your thoughts?

Every image from your camera will tell you the settings that were chosen. Start buy studying the shots you like, and try to replicate them in manual mode.

There's lots of educational material on getting started, here on PT, and elsewhere.

If you're going to go manual, and learn to improve your craft, your question really is, "what system should I invest in?" Does that mean an interchangeable lens camera (ILC) system, or just a newer Pany? It's true that larger sensors handle low-light situations better, but you want to consider the big picture, including lenses.

New students are also repeating that: "Practice, practice, and again."

I would understand that if the exercise had with muscle memory to
do, like for learning a musical instrument or any sport. Photography
has not much in common, in terms of muscle memory, with sports or
music.

Understanding is all there is at first, and discovering you artistic intent.
This all the sweat and pain you will encounter… yes, and frustrations.

It's all in how well you grasp and process some of the abstract notions.

Light is free… capturing it is not!
