Confusing feature page.  Are these templates?

That's what I'm trying to figure out.  I want something that ISN'T a template.  I'm trying to figure things out as well.

These are built to order sites (I think)

I wondered what is .io? It shows up as a domain name based in the UK (British Indian Ocean Territories?? say what? lol).
The site has an address in Brooklyn, and the phone number area code shows up as New York.

Then I skimmed thru the Terms, some things seem phrased oddly. Under Forum of Dispute (and I'm not sure what exactly that means) it says any dispute would go thru a court in the state of Colorado. Why is the site a domain name out of the UK, the address in NY, but disputes would go thru a court in Colorado? Makes no sense to me. Maybe there are reasons that escape me but I don't get it.

If you're thinking about using the site you definitely better look at the terms... it goes on to talk about if something goes to court it sounds like you could end up paying their legal costs. Yowza, you better hope you don't have any problems with them!

.io extension is popular these days.  Kind of like the new .com from what a few have indicated.

You can view their sample pages, looks like they have some well known photographers using their platform.

What the video on their home page.  These are customization templates.  "Last website you will own" he says at the end.  Catchy.

They should post more coverage of the editor they are using.  Kind of fast moving.

And they close off with Brad Wilson's site with the monkey looking at you.

Are you looking to have someone design a website for you from scratch? Or are you just looking for a site to host/maintain an existing site? I haven't read the terms or anything, but the examples seem clean and accessible. However, if you're just looking to maintain and host an existing site, I've seen other services that are significantly cheaper.

Whens the last time you bought something solely on being the 'cheapest' and it being any good?

EOS_Fan, and I believe you meant to say chimp, NOT chip.   ha ha ha

Yeah, I've heard of this site.  In my photography club, we had a discussion about different websites and these guys came up.  This isn't your run of the mill Zenfolio cookie cutter site, one look at the example sites you can see that.  I agree, their pricing table does require focus to figure out what is going on.

Didn't look at their terms.
