Wacom Cintiq Companion 2 worth the $$

7 years 5 months ago #502695 by Street Shark
I have a much smaller Wacom that is worth it's weight in gold.  My Wacom Intuos only cost me something like $70.  The Cintiq Companion 2 is nearly $1500.  So we are talking a slightly higher investment here.

OK, it's a sizeable difference, however the Cintiq Companion 2 does so much more.  I just want to find out, if users are happy with it?

Wacom is great, can't help to wonder how the new Microsoft Studio will compete with this.

My youngest son has the larger version, (about two grand if I recall) and loves it. He's an artist and doesn't use it with photography, but I can see the value. That's a lot of cash though.....

Why so serious?

Cool, just a tad out of my price range.  So is this for artist?  Obviously not for me.  However curious, who would get the most  use from this?

Talk about a serious post processing tool!  I like it however will stick to my small Intuos

Don't have one myself, but I have several colleagues that own one and they're all incredibly satisfied with them.

Wacom is worth its salt, no matter how you slice it. The price tag is pretty steep, but it's worth it if you're a serious retoucher that needs an advanced post processing tool.

Yeah, I just today installed my new Wacon Intuos five. Wacom might have a lousy customer service, but a top notch product....

:agree:  so true  :(  hope they remedy this one day.  Great product and great customer service would make it more enjoyable doing business with them.
