Logo design for photographers?

2 years 10 months ago #528181 by Silver Fox
My logo is weak and needs a serious face lift.  I was looking at 99Designs, but just found this site on my Facebook feed:  photologo.co

Any of you  have experience with this outfit?

Just looks like they do fake autographs?! Says they use designers who do calligraphy - those logos aren't calligraphy, I learned that years ago and this isn't it. Can't figure out where 'they' are located (if it's 'they', looks kind of like a one man show).

As far as 99designs, they seem to expect people to work for free. To design for them you'd have to design a logo, submit it, then if it gets chosen you'd get paid something - if not you would have spent time and talent doing all the work - for nothing.

I think you're going to get amateur work at these type sites.

Checked and .co is a domain for Colombia.

No phone or address on their Facebook page either that I could see. You have to have a street address to be a registered business in the U.S. I usually wonder about a business that doesn't seem like they want to be found.

edit - In the Terms & Conditions it says Hong Kong. And 40 bucks?? I could do one of these in photoshop myself.

Build your own in PS!

i simply signed my name a few times until I liked it, and scanned it into my computer and then did some adjustments on photoshop.
