Hi there,

Just wondered if anyone knows how to achieve this photography style both in camera and in the edit?

Cheers

Those are taken in sunlight, mid-afternoon or perhaps mid-morning.

What do you mean by "style"? There's really not much there to distinguish them.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I found this article in the latest Adobe Create newsletter which may help:

I am assuming you mean (at least in part) the solid color backgrounds.

Looks like a PS or LR image change..

Yes, that, too. The backgrounds have been replaced.

Both use highly directional light with only a little fill light.

like I said, 'the photography style' not too concerned with the image cut-out style, just wanted to know how to achieve that harsh shadow look and also the grainy texture.

Do you know how i could achieve this in the studio?

No that's not what I mean. Tom. As I said; the 'photography style' not the overall image style. Which is what I believe you're referring to although it's hard to assume the mind of someone who can't read properly.

Bare bulb will give the harshest light.  You could add black panels or V-flats to subtract light for the shadows.

Kelly is spot on with their analysis of the lighting. As far as the graininess that you're talking about, it's most likely a faux film grain filter added in post. Not sure what gear you're working with, but maybe you'd enjoy experimenting with a film camera if you'd like to get the look that you're talking about?
