Helicon focus vs Photoshop focus stacking?

I was just looking at a post Alex made here where he used Helicon focus to stack some landscape images.  So what is the difference from using this and Photoshops focus stacking script?

I'm pretty sure Helicon focus will give you more control over the process as that is all the program does.  Where as Photoshop is just a part of it.  I might be wrong.

Helicon will give you much more control and tighter stitching from what I understand.

Helicon has been around for years and this is their bread and butter software.   IMO you'll get much more flexibility and accuracy from this platform than any other on the market.

Helicon has a free thirty day trial, you can find out for yourself if it suits. I have it but just use Photoshop now...

Why so serious?

I use Helikon Focus very successfully since years.

Light is free… capturing it is not!
