Random white line across the top of my photo

5 years 10 months ago #585802 by SCC12321
I was trying to edit some old pics today, and noticed a white line across the top of one of my pictures when I opened it up on my Mac. I wasn't sure if this was an issue with the photo or my laptop, so I opened the file on Lightroom, and the line disappeared. Attached is a screenshot of what it looks like on my Mac vs on Lightroom.

Do you guys think this is enough to confirm that it's an issue with my laptop?

What line? Does anyone else see a line?

No white line, if it´s a one pixel line try cropping in 100%, may be it will show up better?

Yeah, I guess it's kind of hard to see. It's only if you tilt your laptop up with the screen facing away from you that you can see that one pixel line that's a shade brighter than the rest of the image at the top. When I tried cropping that part out, there was still a random white line at the top of the new, cropped image. However, when I import the image to Lightroom, there isn't a white line anymore.

Then it's not the image. It's perhaps a bug in whatever application you're using to view the image.

+1 I'm not seeing anything either.  I would worry about it.

At this scale and resolution, I don't see anything except a
highlight recovery tweak needed.

White halos may appear as artefacts to over sharpening or
improper layer masking.

Light is free… capturing it is not!
