Lightroom Gradient Tool question

5 years 1 month ago #636048 by TGonzo
I'm trying to step outside of my very basic understanding of Lightroom.  Earlier tonight I was clicking around and noticed the gradient tool.  Is there any way to set the gradient not on the outside of the photo, but towards the inside of the image?  I tried clicking on the inner ball, but all it wanted to do was spin around.

How can this be moved inward of the image?

Thanks in advance.

Tim

What version of LR?

Linear or radial?

You can click on it at several points to rotate and expand. Click on the lines. The dot in the center moves it entirely, where as the dotted lines will rotate and the solid lines will expand it.

I think there is also a way to reverse these instead of having to rotate, but I can't remember exactly remember the process. I think it's a box you click.  If you go to LR's website or Youtube. Adobe has posted some really great tutorials. I have watched a few and found them to be relatively easy and my workflow and understanding over certain adjustments is much better.

Never any issues here, you just grab the center ball and move it.  Did you try to close and restart?

If you haven't gotten your arms around this yet, here's a good video I came across some time ago
