Editing photos on an iPad

Hey guys, I saw some older post here on post processing on an iPad, but those are from last year.  What's the best approach to post processing images on an iPad Pro?

Don't?

If you're working from RAW images your choices are limited. LR CC will let you work with sync'ed images and JPEG representations. And a google (web search) found a reference to something called 'PiRAWhna'. But the field hasn't changed because RAW processing is demanding. And you're limited to whatever the iPad provides. Which may work for you.

I find the whole ecosystem of the iPad extremely inconvenient when my desktop has all of my images on it, and a calibrated monitor.

I use Affinity Photo as pixel editor and I know that they
have a new iPad version… a solution you could explore.

Affinity Photo works wonders for me on my Macs but I
don't need it on my iPad.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Hey @Nikon Shooter, is that your primary editor?

My Camera Bag:

Canon 7D | 50mm f/1.2 | 17-40mm f/4 | 70-200mm f/2.8 | 320EX | 580EXII

Yes, since years. :P

In fact, it is that editor that permitted me to become
Adobe subscription and OnOne free

I don't know anyone having it on an iPad but on my
machines it has proven extremely solid and reliable.
It is an exploration worthy.

I have no choice with some upcoming traveling.  I need something small and an iPad fills those shoes.  So you work with what you have.   Thank you.

Be aware, Todd, that AF is a pixel editor with RAW conversion.
This implies that all is done within AF — no external app requires-
red — but one can work only one file at the time and the tweaks
on Raws are not saved as xmp but reflected in the final jpg image.

It's been a while since I have tried editing on my iPad.  When I did, it's so tough to get any sort of precision with out a curser and mouse control.  Now this might be different with the newer Pro models and Apple Pencil.

Do you have a Pro?
