What do you warrant as an acceptable watermark size on a digital print you are uploading online?

I'm assuming we're talking about sharing images on social media, not portfolio or customer proofing work.

Some folks will say "none".

It depends upon what you're trying to accomplish. I consider a watermark useful for branding only. It should be about who you are. It should not be a copyright statement, as that's superfluous (and usually done incorrectly anyways).

Since a watermark can be removed with enough effort, it's important to understand it's not about "protecting" your image. If you don't want to risk misappropriation, don't put your image online.

I keep making mine smaller, and they've always been in the corner/along one edge.

I tend to use a clear, distinctive, informative but discrete, non invasive
visually, when posting.

I will have none when on my iPad portfolio and an invasive one when
submitted to new clients via a gallery from my website.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

When I do include mine, it's small something in the bottom right corner.

Most times, I don't include one.

The only time I watermark is when my print is on display somewhere for show or contest.
