Spots in photo after camera was just cleaned!

I just spent $78 to have my camera professionally cleaned.  I  just got back from taking photos and my photos have all sorts of dust spots in them!  WTH did they do for my $78!

Guess I need to bring this back tomorrow.

Sounds like they didn't do anything or had one heck of a hiccup!

Mines getting dropped off tomorrow. I hope they do a better job at cleaning mine than what your people did!

G'day ER

I had a similar finding 12-yrs back with one of my Fuji cameras that came back 'dirtier' than it went away ~ so it was returned for another go

The first few times I tried cleaning any of my slr sensors, I soon discovered that the test pics one needs to take afterwards MUST be shooting a clean / empty scene ... in my case it is upwards towards blue sky, camera set to F22 and deliberately moved sideways during the exposure so that nothing is actually in focus and so on. Most times I need to do the 'swipe' action 3 or 4 times until it's perfect.

I presume that your cleaning mob didn't have this available and their test shots did not show up any issues.

As effrom says above "learn to DIY" it isn't hard and you certainly won't damage the sensor if you follow the maker's instructions. Enjoy :)

Hope this helps

Yeah, I do it myself.  But I still have my moments when I personally will send off my camera for professional cleaning.  Call me lazy.

You aren't lazy, but smart. I also send my body in at times... to Nikon repair...they also lube, adjust and update firmware....(CLA). Its well worth it.

Sounds like what happens after I clean my camera!  I always seem to have some sort of crude still on my lens!

Which reminds me, I need to clean mine today.
