Pumping up dynamic range in real estate photos?

Hey guys, when you have interiors of homes that have a wide range of different lighting, how are you able to capture as many of those lights with out extreme shadows and blown out?

I usually take one optimised shot for the interior and one
for the highlights. Both are then combined in a pixel edi-
tor — at SR, the camera MUST NOT have been moved.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

You use a tripod and take 2 or more shots at different exposures, then combine them in post. Jimmy McIntyre's Raya Pro product helps with this process, for example.

The term is "exposure blending." Not HDR, although HDR is a form of that.

N.B. It seems to me (IMO - in my opinion) that using uncommon abbreviations helps no one. YMMV (your mileage may vary). If one is going to assist/educate, then clarity should be paramount.

Richard, look up the bracketing technique that Gary mentioned and try Photomatix.  That's your winning ticket son.
