What is your post processing workflow?

What's your post processing workflow.  I'm talking from the point you download your photos on your computer till when you consider the photo done.

I'm currently using LR and PS and fishing to see if others are using anything beyond those.

I am Adobe free since almost a decade so I don't use Lr nor Ps.

I practice and teach the four points approach to post-processing:

1, optimising the recorded data,
2, apply YOUR artistic intent,
3, pixel editing when needed,
4, publishing for prints, news or web.
Light is free… capturing it is not!

Ignoring any issues related to which PP tool or editor you use:
  1. Organizing the assets comes first.
  2. For post work, you need to understand whether your tools are destructive. I find that I should do as much work as possible in the non-destructive tool first,
  3. then move to a tool that let's me work with destructive techniques but allows me to control how they are applied,
  4. then take the results back to the asset management tool, where it's kept with the original file.
  5. Final steps depend upon intent. If it's a customer, I'll create a gallery on my website for proofing, then another for delivery, or I print and deliver.
  6. I may export images to my local copy of Drive, where it is synced to the Google cloud and I can get to the images from anywhere.
  7. I may use private folders in Google Drive, and share those folders with others. 
  8. Archiving images (having backups) is an over-arching issue throughout all of this.

I import into Lightroom, organize, edit about 75-90% and touch up in Photoshop.  Save it back to Lightroom and export to a folder I call "Ready for Web".  

Thats it for me.

I've gotten to the point of doing nearly all my work just in Lightroom.  I very rarely use anything else these days.  I used to use Photoshop almost exclusively, but slowly shifted to Lightroom.  
(2) Canon 7D, Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM, 50mm f/1.4 USM, 85mm f/1.8 USM, Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 HSM, Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6

I have used Adobe Photoshop CC for my post processing workflow. Photoshop version CC 2018 offers a lot of improvements and new features from previous iterations delivering more efficiencies and a wide array of options to choose from.

I always use PS for my post-processing. First, I use camera raw to adjust the lighting and then touch up photos where necessary.

My first DAM (Digital Asset Manager) was Lightroom.  When Adobe switched to their subscription scheme I escaped to ACDSee.  So step 1 is download/import to my desktop computer using ACDSee.  As part of it's DAM routine ACDSee also lets me assign the initial category for the batch.  I also use ADCSee for searching and culling images, which is the main point of a DAM!

For years I did the RAW editing with ACDSee too.  Now I am also experimenting with Affinity, Darktable, and Luminar.  Which of the 4 programs I use to edit a particular file is up to whim.  Or, when time permits, I may try the same file with all 4.  To keep my sanity when using more than 1 program I have separate folders for work files - /acdsee_bin , /affinity_bin , /darktable_bin , /luminar_bin.

Once past all these editing games I will send the JPG export to a project folder.  I have many such project folders, just for output files.
