Photoshop/lightroom GIMP/darktable noobie question

9 months 1 week ago #671454 by rv2019
I am new to editing. I was paying freelancers from upwork for editing. I wanted to avoid paying for something I don't make money on (I am hobbyist photographer and do only TFP's) .

I tried Photoshop/lightroom and GIMP/darktable. I found later to be more easier (especially with GMI'C).  I find most of the professionals using Photoshop.

Do you think I doing something wrong? or are they really equivalent?

FYI: I edit on Mac pro 15" (incase that will have an impact)

Whatever you want to learn just hold 1 and keep learning. Adobe Photoshop is a great tool actually. If you lean photoshop then you can do anything. Good luck.
