I'm exhausted and frankly just looking for a quick answer.  Adobes website isn't helpful for quick answer.  What is the difference between Lightroom vs Lightroom Classic?

You mean "Lightroom CC" vs. "Lightroom Classic", right?

If you want to do your work on a desktop/laptop, and don't care about storing your source files on Apple servers (so that you can edit from an iPad, or an iPhone, or another laptop while remote) then you don't care about CC. It's marketing that basically means "store your files on a server, instead of on your local system" so you can access them anywhere.

If all you want is a license to work on your office system (and perhaps a laptop or other second computer) you want Lightroom Classic.

Fundamentally, you need to define how you want to work. Me, all my work is done at my desk, in my home. I use LR Classic only. I occasionally sync to my iPad for culling purposes, if I think I'll have some time while out. Usually, no.
