Photo editing ?

For someone new to photo editing, what would be a good software to use?

Also, video editing, can you get a program that works for both?

Thanks

Fly Fun, Fly Safe, Just Fly and take that Shot.

So after so many years of doing this or that and life itself getting in my way, I am now at the point where just slowing down and doing things I have put off I have concluded that its time to become creative and do what I want.
Thanks for giving me a place to get started. :-)

Are we on the same page?

If you shoot RAW, it is spoken about processing and this has
nothing to do with editing.

The converter can process both though I have experience only
with photos.

I use Capture One for processing and Affinity Photo for editing.

Thanks for the reply.

I think we are heading in the same direction, as I understand things better; processing and editing are different?

Smiling not to sound like a real dummy, we are talking about using a PC or Mac? or right off the camera?

Most softwares come for either platforms so OS is irrelevant.

Right off the camera (straight out of camera, SOOC, means that a
file or an image was untouched outside the camera. However, if a
jpeg image was produced, it went through a series of processes to
achieve the said result within the camera. If shot RAW — the term
SOOC applies more to Raw files than jpeg images — the files will
have to be processed in a converter.

Once aging, thanks for the quick reply.

I think I am getting the hang of it.

Thanks for the help.

Capture One has insane sharpening tools.

I use photoshop for pretty much everything still.

Nothing touches Photoshop to this day.

Whatever works for you though. :D
