Film in Contemporary Photography

Read this article a few days ago and thought it was pretty interesting. Was wondering if any others had thoughts or feelings on the topic of film. Do you think there is anything inherently more artistic or beautiful to film over digital?

To me, film was much more time consuming and I believe digital improved the image making from start to finish quite a lot. I don't miss the film era....

Why so serious?

Maybe.  More aggravation - most definitely.  I finally got around to running a roll of film through my old Yashica-Mat.  Mailed the roll off to Ilford.  That was over a week ago, nothing has come back from them.

pah!

I gave a nephew doing a lot of Africa stuff my 645 and RB67. But I kept my F5 and Yashica 635. I like fooling with my Yashica and just attached to the F5. Liked wrking with the RB67 too! I like digital because I can do everything with them up to printing. Gonna get a piece of 13x26 photo paper from the nephew and try that size in my printer. I had just a few rolls of film developed since I went digital, actually pretty spendy. So for that reason alone, I don't do a lot any more. But when I wait for a roll to come back, I get really anxious, wondering if I got anything good! But film s just a play thing anymore, expensive play thing.
