Monochrome prints on c-paper

1 year 8 months ago #603137 by adamariastills
Hello,
I've been wondering, while putting together my photobooks - is there any difference in longevity between color and monochrome silver halide prints made on the same (say, Fuji Crystal Archive) paper? I have no experience of chromogenic paper in my own traditional darkroom work.
Thanks in advance.

I can't speak to the Fuji paper, but considering prints I made over forty years ago the B&W held up much longer than the color, which in some cases was fading in ten years. Many factors probably involved.....

Why so serious?

Yes, I experienced the same though — like for all papers — any
print exposed to strong light or direct sunlight will, over time
and to diverse degrees, fade… even archival paper.

Light is free… capturing it is not!
