Love No1. The metallic reflections do it, in my opinion.

Great shots Ernesto! I love going to air shows, I might get over to the air races in Reno next year, if they are not cancelled because of the tragic crash that recently happened. I've always had a thing for the old P-51 Mustangs. Never been in one and I'm not a pilot, but if I had to learn to fly, I would want to do it in a P-51. I guess that is just the hot rodder in me talking. :beerbang:

It is what it is.

Yeah, the pilot flew it by low and fast a couple times, and there was just something about the sound of it. My wife didn't understand, must be a boy/man thing....... :)

There's nothing like the sound of a P-51 on a fast low pass, It's like a race car with wings!

Agreed on the boy/man thing. My wife doesn't get it either, to her credit, she still goes with me though...

Fab shots Ernesto, I recently was at the seaside in St.Annes, Lancashire, and we saw a shed load of historic and present planes in the air across the Ribble Estuary at what turned out to be the Southport Air Show. Doh! wrong side of the river and over an hours drive away.
This link lists what planes were there I'll go next year.

Thanks for sharing your shots

Love aviation! These are awesome photos of some classics. There's an air show here in San Diego in a few weeks. I'll be there for that!

Wonderful shots Ernesto-reminds me of the heritage flight at the Daytom air show a few years back with a P 51 alongside a Tomcat and a Sabre

The yellow plane is the T-6 Texan which for most pilots of the WW 2 era was the trainer for many of the p-51 and other fighter plane pilots trainers. And yes the sound of the p-51 Merlin in line engine is a sound like no other. For those who don't know that wasn't the original engine it used to use an Allison engine but they found the engine was under powered in the A and B model p-51 and the used to have a different canopee and they used to only have 4 machine guns not 6. They changed the canopee because the pilots couldn't see well on there sides and rear prior to the upgrade.
