Went to Columbia yesterday. Some of my favorite shots inside

Columbia, California that is. Took the family to just hang out. We did some bowling and we got held up by a masked gunman while traveling on the Wells Fargo stage coach. CC always makes me happy!
Thank you!!

Very nice variety. I'm often too "programmed" to see so many possibilities.

You got a lot of great photos. I like the one of the boys leaning on the rocks, that's a nice composition and something a little different for a portrait. The one of the masked cowboy/bandit has a great perspective.

I tend to notice details and the only thing I think you might look at is checking the backgrounds, you might want to watch for objects along the edge of the frame of the image. I think if there are fenceposts, doorways, etc. along the edge it's more noticeable if the shot wasn't framed exactly straight, but of course many of these buildings are old and obviously have a lean to them, and most of your photos are framed nice and straight.

In the one with the singing cowboy, that's a great scene, there's just some white square shape along the right edge, and you might think about where to frame the shot on the left or maybe where to crop it a bit. You might just want to look at ones like the bowling pins, that's a cool shot with an interesting perspective, there's just a slight distraction along the right side and if there's a sign in the picture I think it can look better to include the whole sign or not at all if you can.

This is a great series and some of the shots like the stagecoach look like they might have been tricky and involved some good timing on your part.

Aaaawwww yes! The devil is in the details! :) I'll admit I did get a bit lazy with some of these. The singing cowboy, for example, I cropped it the way I did because there was someone standing right behind the black jacket that's sitting on the ground. But I stopped at that point and called it good. The white square is also next to a person that I got too lazy to clone out.

Same with the bowling shot. It's actually backwards from how it is in real life. But for some reason, when I looked at the image with the pins on the left, it made for a terrible and akward balance. So I flipped it and paid no attention to the sign.

I didn't post the ones with my sons against the rock because, although they're my favorite subject, the images didn't come out that well. :(

Thank you for all the feedback!

But obviously your photos are good enough that we're talking details.

The picture from the blacksmith shop is my favorite. I've never heard of Columbia, California and I was born and raised in the state! I'll have to look it up. Looks like a great place!
