Interesting shot but the the lighting needs to improve. I also don't know what is the subject in this shot.

I agree that it has no definite point of interest. the first thing that caught my attention was the colorful standee outside. i don't think however that this is the main subject of this shot. The inside of the cafe lacks details that can catch the eyes.

I agree! i think that the photo has to have a good viewpoint. But this one could have ben better if the guy in the window was emphasized.

Interesting.  The responses in this forum are way different that the ones I get around here from people who look at a printed 8x10 glossy of it.  The responses of those folks is generally to stare at it for longer than normal and comment on the atmosphere of the scene and the numerous interesting things to look at.  One person even said it reminded them of a Norman Rockwell painting.

I think this shot would make a good 2000 piece jigsaw puzzle myself :)

I think if the objective of the shot is to give a picture of a bar, this is not bad at all. However, the details are really not that visible because of the dark tones in the shot. The highlight I think of the shot is the man and the colorful standee outside.

Just for clarification.....  this shot is entirely inside.  The window panes are actually part of a wall that separates two sections of the pub.  He is sitting at a table in a front section and the brownish orange window trim on the far wall of the green room divide where he is sitting from the real outside where the sun is shining brightly.
