Ibanez RG 7-string

My only Ibby. Possibly gonna trade this for a KKV. The bridge Infinity-R pickup was replaced with a DiMarzio Deactivator.

Nice one Esseff .

Only thing though,  the repulsive , mundane brickwork background  keeps  drawing my eyes away from the Ibby .  Reckon you could have  hung  a less distracting background ,  like e.g., a dark-coloured curtain ,  in front of the wall ,  or found a more drab wall .  :cheer:

Yes, I found myself looking back at the wall throughout viewing the shot.  I like the shot though, but I love that brickwork too.  Maybe if you pulled it farther from the wall and used a shallow DOF, it might be less distracting.... but I do like the shot.

I'm a Strat guy, but love that Ibanez neck as well.... always wanted to try out a 7-string.

The brick wall is cool but there is as much light on it as on the guitar.
I could appreciate the rough textures of both the wall and the floor op-
posing the smooth, glossy instrument but the light should be say… mo-
stage like, theatrical.

Single coil fan here too but with my custom wiring! :P

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Anyway thanks for the comments guys.  :)

As far as the background goes... personally I like it. I have a couple like this. Looks like a lot of rehearsal rooms I've been in.

Been looking into whenever I get time. Still not quite sure how to apply it though. I'm thinking I need a specific kind of light but I can't figure out what that is. FWIW I do have two lights but they are better for general all round lighting, not highlighting the subject. Is it just a case of a smaller light with a focus lighting area?

I am sure, SF, that your gear is adequate for the task,
it is all in the way it is used. Have a good time! :)
