So how exactly are these photo's taken? Exposure? Is this something you go out in the middle of a field, screw on your camera to telescope and fire away? How do you determine correct exposure for something so far away? Something is telling me that that camera's metering system isn't going to meter the rings of Saturn to good. :rofl:

I've been researching this and many have some crazy exposure times. I have sent email to one photographer to get more details on the process.

Actually for the brighter planets your Canon will do the job

For the galaxies and nebula you will need a series of images and then you need to add them in PhotoShop

It is more complex than some people think but it is very rewarding
