Spent some time in a local cave yesterday .... We experimented with colored light on this feature

Great shot, what sort of shutter speeds were you using for those?

One word: WOW!

Okay, two words: Awesome!

Sure, practice makes perfect but, unless you learn from your mistakes, you are only perfecting your ability to fail.

Really nice shot. I took a series of shots in Meramec Caverns last Summer. Did you have any problems with condensation on the lens as you came back up from the depths of the cave?

Great shots. Would work well on trees, rocks, etc. at night.
Charles, carry that zip lock bag with you to let your gear adjust.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

I was huffing and puffing on that lens to warm it up. Problem was the tour was on a schedule and would move from one lit area to another turning the lights off behind them as they went. Now I am thinking about this situation as well as the one where someone is coming out of a frosty chapel into warm humidity. Knowing ahead of time you might have a chemical hand warmer standing by to give the lens a source of heat.
