Here's a photo I took a few weeks ago. Tell me what I can do to make it better. How do I get my photo to insert instead of being an attachment?

I did it for you.

But for future reference, when you add a picture, and load it in, it says Insert to the right, just click that.

Beautiful colours. I Graduated ND filter would help equalize the sky and the dark foreground.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

You're already off to a good start. :judge:  :judge:

The photo shows the horizon low in the frame and dedicates most of the space to the clouds. If you want to try and adjust the mood I would start with trying to darken and add contrast to the shot. In this case less might be more so don't go overboard except to experiment

Another thing to try is the burn tool to selectively darken the upper part of the clouds - it might add drama. Again don't lose the highlights if possible.

I have found that adjusting the white balance can dramatically change the feel of this type of shot especially when there are a lot of blues and reds to move. Try it cooler then hotter - sometimes you end up with two good shots... :woohoo:

I am waiting for the kit to come in at B & H Photo. The kit has the filter, the adapter and the holder.

I'll give that a try. Still learning about how to use Photoshop Elements 9. I usually create a new overlay layer. Then use the black or the white brush to darken or lighten where needed.
