The first shot is awesome.  I really like the silhouette that tree creates over the midnight blue sky.  Is it me or is the building on the left coming in a little?
I see you have a number of cameras.  Which did you use on this shot?

Thank you. I had the D3s with the 24-70mm f/2.8. I couldn't back up enough to avoid the vertical distortion and it would require too much of a crop to eliminate it completely with Free Transform. So, it does lean in...:)

:sigh: I miss Europe when I see great shots like this John!  One of my first trips into Paris was spent going from church to church, and it was one of the most memorable parts of all my European trips.  The architecture and level of detail is stunning.  Which my friend, you have managed to capture in both these shots.

Thank you for making PhotographyTalk.com your photography community of choice.

Love The First One The Light Is very nice, nice Shoot

An eye for an eye, LSD and antidepressants. Everything in balance. Buddhists call it karma and Christians call it the golden rule, Jews call it— I don't know. Rabbi Hillel said something poignant. Universe always settles the score.
Does it?
No, but it should.

These are great shots, the first one I have a tough time with the left building. Perhaps you had very limited space to work with.  It's still a fantastic shot though.

Nikon Z6 | Nikon FM10 | Nikon D80 | Nikon 50mm f/1.8D | Nikon 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S VR | 35-105mm f/3.5 Macro | 80-200mm f/4.5 | SB600 | Pocket Wizard II

Thanks, Stanly. I just posted a few more of the church in the first image, St Maclou, and you can see how crowded into the urban neighborhood it is.

Thank you very much, Chrome. But I am a bit perplexed: How, and why did this shot, which I posted in the St Maclou thread, show up in this thread, which features two different shots? Just curious:)

Great shots.
