New England is probably my all time favourite US resort. Here`s the lighthouse in my city situated more or less downtown. This was the first picture i ever edited in Lightroom back in may. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

Lighthouses are a landmark that are just so interesting.  I've been to a few here and there and even gone up in them.  Not much room might I add.  Both of you nailed some great shots here.  Now you have me wanting to track down one!

Canon 7D w/grip, Canon 40D, Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS L Canon MPE 65mm f2.8 macro; Sigma 70-300mm f2.8; Sigma 150mm f2.8 macro; Sigma 8-16mm f4.5-5.6

We've been to a number of the historic ones on the east side of Florida.  Never got to go into any, but sure enjoyed looking at them.  Now are most of these owned in the same way that railroads are?

I think most up here are owned by state or national park service....

Nice lighthouse in dull light. I worked on it in the Luminar Beta and it can really pop with the right edits. It wouldn't reflect the real scene but it would help to give it a look you would expect to see in better light.

It pops fine on my monitor, on another site I posted it to and the print looks good. They all get muted here....

Thanks Adam, yes lots of history. They are making many of these places hard to get at, just the parking fee here was ten bucks! (I decided to not pay for a ten minute stroll)  In Maine they open quite a few lighthouses to the public and most are free to visit....just getting there is a haul.
