One Little Bird

A foggy forest is wonderful on its own, but when the trees can show motion, emotion, gesture, and a mood of their own it elevates the image. I see this composition of a whole section of the forest putting on a play. The young tree dances next to an old stump and a small robin perches in the branches of the main subject. To the left, the light comes from behind and above while the background disappears into nothingness. The foreground is filled with ferns at the bottom and the entire image is framed by the textures of two dark trees. I am thrilled to have experienced this scene and capture its beauty!

killer shot....Only thing i would do different is crop out most of the trees on the sides. I am very aware it creates a natural frame for the picture, but I find myself noticing them too much even though I try to experience the middle "bulk" of the picture.

Great work
