Awesome light Balboa Beach Sunset

4 years 5 months ago #666121 by Alex
Went down to Balboa Beach on Friday.  My SunSet app was showing great color.  I went out to test out the new Polar Pro Summit filters and lucked out with the colors.  I originally went to Newport Beach Pier... however the sand color at Balboa Beach was darker brown, so I set up here.

That's quite nice. I like the orange light on the sand.

Did you try a long-ish exposure?

I don't get it?  What does it mean to turn the water into toothpaste?

Gorgeous shot Alex.  How do you like those filters?  That bracket is only for their filters right? So if you have other 100x150 filters, you can't use with that system?

That is a reference to a very long exposure time that makes the water smooth (and silky) and quite white. For example, the first one here .

Handling water in images is a very subjective thing. You'll find differences of opinion regarding it.
