MT BUFFALO
Yesterday being the crisp clear sunny winter's day that it was
Salina and I enjoyed a father/daughter outing to the Australian Alps.
From Wang' it is a leisurely 150 km, 3 hr drive to Mt Buffalo via Myrtleford
where we stopped at the bakery to stock up with some serious goodies for lunch.

Nice landscape! But the tree on the bottom left is a bit distracting.

Yes Jessa, we are at the beginning of winter; soon those mountains will be covered in snow and the ski season will begin.

Do I see a WB issue here or is you weather playing me ticks?

Light is free… capturing it is not!

It's a bright midday, high altitude shot under a cloudless sky. The camera is going to make it blue, given the choice of auto WB? We don't know enough about how the image was created to say further.

I've only been to Sydney, but I remember the Blue Mountains were awfully blue. Is there a lot of eucalyptus growing in that area? Or perhaps the blue saturation is a tad much.

Lovely view.

Thanks for your thoughtful comments, Gary and yes to the underscored phrases. Except during the bushfire season, we have next to zero air pollution in NE Victoria at this time of year, especially in the alpine region. Correct, auto WB by default (change if desired during RAW process in Olympus Workspace software). Any further adjustments are rendered in Photoshop CS3. Eucalyptus is the predominant tree species Australia wide - it is this predominance of blue-green foliage that leads to the 'blueness' of our landscape. As you are doubtless aware, EXIF info remains intact on all my images viewable on various readers and shared on Flickr with any who might wish to know.
Note: To arrive at the conventional equivalent focal length of Four Thirds system lenses, multiply by X2.

Yes Jessa, and likely to be a long cold one until November.
