What would I not give to visit that site in my lifetime?

Light is free… capturing it is not!

I was fortunate to be able to visit during Covid.  I was able to shoot many photos without tourists in them.

Well, I am fortunate - photography wise - but was unfortunate as I wasn't exactly planning to relocate in Cambodia.  Though I wish I would have explored the Wats at better times of day.  A wasted opportunity though hopefully I will be able to return sometime soon.

I mean to say I had a good photo opportunity because of COVID. However, I had to relocate countries (where I was living) because I was unable to reenter the country I was living and have now relocated in Cambodia.  I am ready for COVID to be gone.  Since I am living here now I hope to return to Angkor Wat and take more photos.

How close are you able to get to these?

Everything that is camera level you can walk up and touch.  The tower area is open but you have to go to a certain entrance, though, I don't know if you had to pay to get in and up.  If you have a ticket to the Wats you can go inside and walk around.  This was actually the top of Angkor Wat where you can walk around and go up even further (the tower area) but I didn't.  I  used a 23mm (angle of view equiv 35mm)
