Addiction to snow-covered mountain landscapes

3 years 5 months ago #701358 by db3348
Few years ago,  had  the privilege  of spending  several months in Switzerland for a white christmas ,  and  became  addicted  to snow-covered mountain landscapes .  Heres a few of my favourite images :

An awesome panoramic vista from 3800 meters above sea ,  of the Valais alps on the border of Switzerland and Italy .

Detailed profile of Dent Blanche peak .

Sunset view of the range .  Black blob at top is deliberate inclusion of a peregrine falcon ,  rushing home  to feed  the clan (or out for a night on  the town) .

Peeking  through the clouds .  Originally a very murky , drab colour shot,  converted to b&w looks somewhat better .

Lonely tree in blizzard on side of Mount Pilatus (near Luzern) .  Almost got caught up in blizzard myself .

All shot with Canon 5D and  various lenses, and stitched , worked in ps .

They’re all good, the last one is ridiculously good.

Print and hang.
