As shot in the first day of the year!

Nice image but too blue in the shadows, IMHO.

I love European Architecture - especially the old(er) stuff.  My friend was telling me there was a pub in his town older than the USA.

Great shot.
I wonder if the blue shadows is such a sin.
It helps with the feeling of cold.

Kitzek is the highest elevation where wine gardens are productive
in the whole of Europe… and since the Romans! No wonder some
joints may be older than the US. Thanks Khelm!

I checked again and the blues are just as recorded — no alteration
of any kind… and yes, it was darn cold for the locals indeed.

Interesting thought but as we all know, "as recorded" doesn't necessarily make it correct.

I hear you Randy, but I don't use any of the artificial enhancements
— such as vibrance and all the gizmo tool kit — since I don't believe
Mother Nature needs makeup!

The only problem with that is you will never, ever see snow that blue. It's not a mother nature thing, it's about fixing he image to look like it looks in mother nature because the camera didn't correctly capture it. Anyway, I'm done on the subject, If you're happy with the image as is, then I will be also.

Love the shot .... there is lots of architecture in Europe that can take ages to photograph. Almost in each city there will be something looking darn good just waiting to be photographed.
